John Minett Hefner married Glazia Allen Floyd in 1869 and “they lived on a farm north of Marietta in Cass County. As was often the case in those days, there was more than one marriage between the two families. John Hefner’s sister, Molly, married Glazia Floyd’s brother David Anderson Floyd, thus creating many double relations.

ATLANTA – A Texas Department of Transportation project covering several counties in northeast Texas recently won top honors at the Texas Asphalt Pavement Association’s annual meeting in San Antonio.
A reception for families, friends and former players will be held in the Atlanta High School cafeteria from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. prior to the game. Former players for Coaches Walker and Scharnberg are urged to form behind them down on the field about 6:20 p.m.
