Former student and AHS alumnus,Daimion Collins,stopped by Atlanta High School. Mrs. Boyd had Collins in culinary class for two years and English for one.“We’re so proud of Daimion’s accomplishments with the University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball program.” National sports commentators anticipate a big year for Collins.
All-black female Crew assembled in honor of Bessie Coleman

American Airlines assembled an all-black women flight crew to honor Atlanta, Texas’ own Bessie Coleman to celebrate Coleman’s 100-year historic anniversary of receiving her pilot’s license.
