Group donates items for Coleman display

A dedication ceremony was held Saturday at the Hall-Miller Airport in Atlanta to celebrate the unveiling of a memorial display celebrating the life of Atlanta native Bessie Coleman. Display items were donated to the airport by the East Texas Republican Women’s organization, who sponsored the event.
Paddie announces he will seek re-election following ‘most conservative session in history’

State Representative Chris Paddie (R-Marshall) has announced that he will seek re-election to Texas House District 9 in 2022. House District 9 is includes Cass, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Sabine, and Shelby counties.
Deaton is new public info officer

“After 35 years of service with the Texas Department of Transportation’s Atlanta District, I will be retiring as the public information officer at the end of August,” says Marcus Sandifer the current officer for TxDOT. “Taking my place is Heather Wright Deaton who has spent the past five years working as the Texarkana news anchor, producer and multimedia journalist for KTAL-Ch. 6 News.
New L-K facility rendering/floor plan

This is a rendering and layout of the new L-K facility. They will “flip” the campus and their new front entrance will be able to be seen from Hwy 59. They will also be tearing down the old gym and building a new multipurpose facility and front offices with a secure entrance. Office space will include principal, secretary, counselor, registrar, conference room, nurses office, and lounge area with a secure vestibule for visitors who can then securely be let in.
