For three months a little locomotive nicknamed “The Dummy” chugged between Atlanta and Bloomburg, Texas, burning natural gas for fuel; the only vehicle of its kind to run on natural gas before or since-but the noble experiment failed.

Rebecca’s Pantry, a 501 C3 food ministry located at West Side Baptist Church, received a check for $2,000 on May 7, 2020, from the Brookshire’s Corporation. The letter attached to the check stated “Thank you for the work your organization is doing during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are grateful for your efforts to serve the members of our communities who are facing challenges during this unprecedented time.”

The office furniture business to some people may seem to be such a ho-hum plight but to those of us that have flourished selling “desks”, it’s a wonderful opportunity. The creative designer side of humanity thrives on new gorgeous fabrics, sleek Scandinavian motifs, fun graphic laminates, floor layouts, and being able to create the perfect workspace or home environment. It just comes with the territory and originative thinking to make a customer happy with an end “one of a kind” project.
