Five students and three teachers from Queen City ISD braved the cold last week to participate in the 28th Annual Texarkana Fishing Derby.
The Queen City bands presented music played by the QCHS Jazz Band and several other groups of musicians from the M.U.M.S. classes recently. They were joined by special musical guests from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Ark.
The story of the building of St. Williams Church probably took root as early as 1909, when a Catholic family from Red Hill by the name of McCall came to Sacred Heart in Texarkana to have their child baptized. (possibly Mary Frances Lambert McCall, the eldest daughter of the Colonel and his second wife.)
