FAYE KIRKLAND

Faye Kirkland age 87, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Faye was born September 30, 1932 in Cass County, Texas, to John Marshall and Gladys Dees.

She was a longtime member of the Atlanta Church of Christ. She was employed with Ed Hammock Seed and Fertilizer and Ed Hammock Motors.

She was retired from Harold Clements Construction; was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Atlanta Fire Department for over 30 years; and was the 2008 Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce Woman of Year.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Floyd Kirkland; her parents and a brother, Drue Dees.

She is survived by her son, Marshall Kirkland and wife Tonya of Atlanta, Texas; two daughters, Twila Howard and husband Keith of Atlanta, Texas, Sandra Melton and husband Charly of Atlanta, Texas; seven grandchildren, Dustin Kirkland and wife Wendi of Willis, Texas, Seth Howard and wife Kayla of Atlanta, Texas, Nikki Daniels and husband Quinton of Atlanta, Texas, Eric Kirkland and wife Mary of Spring, Texas, Candace Howard of Atlanta, Texas, Cody McCasland and wife Sarah of Alice, Texas, Zane Howard of Atlanta, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Paisley, Kutter, and Cass Howard all of Atlanta, Texas, Ethan and Avrie Kirkland both of Spring, Texas; a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 10:00 am, Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Jon McCormack officiating.

Visitation was Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
