Audie Chamblee
Audie Beatrice “Bea” Sikes Chamblee, age 84, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Monday, February 3, 2020, at her residence surrounded by family.
Bea was born November 3, 1935, in Miller County, Arkansas, to Willis and Audie Sikes. She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God, retired from Lone Star Army Ammuni tion Plant, and attended Bright Star School. Bea loved to laugh and had a jovial spirit. She loved to cook and care for her family, travelling and going on road trips. Bea was a blessing to everyone she met, was greatly loved and will be missed dearly. She also wrote a book journaling her battle with breast cancer, entitled, “This is My Story”. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vernon Walker, Dean Sikes, Merle Sikes; sister, Barbara Gardner; and her fur baby Crickett.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles Chamblee of Queen City, Texas; three sons, Terry Chamblee and wife Debbie of Doddridge, Arkansas, Michael Chamblee and wife Anna of Atlanta, Texas, Daniel Chamblee and wife Karen of Queen City, Texas; daughter, Susan Chamblee of Queen City, Texas; son in law, Pete Peterson of Linden, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral Services were at 10 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2020, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Josh Lee officiating.
Interment was at Olive Branch Cemetery, Miller County, Arkansas.
