Shirley Ann Finlayson

Shirley Ann Finlayson, age 71, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, and to be reunited with the love of her life, Friday, May 7, 2021 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 14, 1949 to H.F. and Edna Mae Clayton in Cass County, Texas. Shirley was a Baptist by faith, enjoyed fishing and camping at Cass County Park and loved her family dearly, especially being a MeMe to her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Warner Riley Finlayson; and her parents.

Shirley is survived by one son, Bubba Finlayson and wife Carolyn of Marietta, Texas; two daughters, Angie Pond and husband James of Atlanta, Texas, Susie Benson and husband Mike of Atlanta, Texas; one brother, Frankie Clayton and wife Connie of Douglassville, Texas; two sisters, Sue Davis and husband Keith of Douglassville, Texas, Patricia Nunn of Ardmore, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of other family and friends.

Graveside services were at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Smyrna Cemetery, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Gary Terry and Bro. Don Howard officiating.
