Autry Glenn Emmons

Glenn Emmons, age 66, of Linden, Texas, went to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 6, 2021.

He was born Aug. 5, 1955, in Center, Texas, to Autry Virgil Emmons and Marie Richardson Emmons. Glenn worked as a Firefighter/EMT for the City of Atlanta for 18 years and was involved with the Forest Festival, KPYN, Player of the Week for Queen City football and sports announcing for Queen City sports programs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel James Emmons; and brother, Autry Darrell Emmons.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Emmons; son, Timothy Emmons and wife Ashley; daughter, Mary Pettit and husband Adam; grandsons, Ethan Henson, Ronnie Emmons, Camden Emmons, Griffin Pettit, Austin Pettit and Mitchell Pettit; brother, Paul Emmons; sisters, Renea Emmons, Abby Johnson, Terri Morrison and Patricia Floyd; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in the Hanner Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Sam Nuckels and Brother Chris Coleman officiating.

Visitation was August 10, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Home.

Interment was in Smyrna Cemetery.
