Marian J. Bohuslav
June 27, 1929 - February 9, 2024
Marian J. Bohuslav, age 94, was tenderly embraced in the loving arms of Jesus Christ on February 9, 2024 at her home in Atlanta, TX surrounded by family.
Marian was born June 27, 1929 in Houston, Texas to Walter Floyd and Mary Olga (Kanak) Trojanowsky. Her life was a testament to love’s enduring strength, having shared 74 years of marriage with her beloved Alleck, whom she met in a place of faith and hope, the Immaculate Conception Church during a Sunday Mass. Marian often said it was “love at first sight.” They were married on October 23, 1948, and were blessed with four handsome boys. They shared a love so devoted & true that it carried them through until the very end. “I wouldn’t change a thing,” Marian would often say, reflecting on their journey together. It’s a comfort to us all, knowing that she is now dancing in Heaven with her lifelong partner.
Marian’s spirit was as free and adventurous as the wind; she found joy in camping under the stars, her last trip was with Alleck when he was 95. An artist at heart, Marian painted her life with the vibrant colors of love, friendship, and faith. She was a bridge player whose strategic mind was matched only by her grace on the dance floor, a fisherman who reeled in each catch with a smile, and a hunter whose true aim was to always capture moments of joy.
Marian was the heart of the Bohuslav Family. Her devotion to her faith was unwavering - a devoted Catholic whose life was a living sermon of love and compassion. A cherished member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Atlanta, Texas, Marian’s legacy is not just in the lives she touched, but in the love she leaves behind.
Marian is predeceased in death by her husband, Alleck C. Bohuslav; her parents, her siblings, Walter J. Trojanowsky Jr. and Leola Landry.
Marian is survived by her four boys and their wives, Kenneth (Jean), Larry (Susie), Craig (Debbie), Gary (Monica); her 10 grandchildren, Adam Bohuslav, Matthew Bohuslav, Jennifer Kirchoff, Emily Kruse, Elliot Bohuslav, Ashley Orr, Kayleigh Baillio, Branden Bohuslav, Amy Butler, Cassi Bohuslav; and her 18 great grandchildren. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, grandma, great grandma (GG) and friend.
The family would like to thank Tammy Rich for the love and care she provided for mom and dad the last five years.
