Morriss Sutton Moore

Morriss Sutton Moore, 82, of Kildare, Texas, was born December 26, 1941, in Kildare, to Emily Mamie Sutton Moore and Robert Paul Moore, Sr. He passed away at his home on August 12, 2024. Born with a deep sense of duty and adventure, Morriss dedicated much of his life to serving his country. A proud Vietnam veteran, his military career began in the Army Reserves, and he continued to serve in the U.S Air Force.

After his military service, Morriss found a new passion in logistics engineering, a role that took him around the country. His travels allowed him to experience different cultures and landscapes, though he always held a special fondness for the simple pleasures of life.

Morriss’s life was one of service, adventure, and quiet enjoyment of the things he loved most. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kimiko F. Moore; sons, Franklin P. Moore and Robert L. Moore; brother, Robert Paul Moore, Jr.; and sister, Frances Thacker.

Morriss is survived by his wife, Sun Moore; daughter, Katherine Bellini (Joe); grandchildren, Christian B. Bellini and Steven A. Bellini (Alexis); and a host of extended family and friends.
