Golda Faye Holland
Golda Faye Holland, 87, of Linden passed away February 5, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Holland was born November 3, 1932 in Linden, Texas to Richard Hall and Lois Goodman. Mrs. Holland married the love of her life on August 19, 1949 and was married for 61 years to James Fred Holland. Golda was a loving wife, devoted mother,grandmother, great-grandmother known as “Mammaw” and was the foundation of her Christian home, where she was always making home-cooked meals. She graduated Salutatorian from Kildare High School. She worked at Linden Municipal Hospital for 38 years as the medical records supervisor and was a member of the Eastern Star. Golda was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Linden where she was in the choir, a Sunday School teacher and worked in the nursery. You could find “Mammaw” attending all of her grandkids ballgames with a smile on her face.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Lou Jennings of Austin, TX, Carrie and Steve Surratt of Cleburne, TX, Stacy and Stacie Holland of Linden, TX; eleven grandchildren: Heather Norden, Daniel Tobert, Conrad Tobert, Lauren Jennings, John Jennings, Megan Randig, Sara Massey, Rachel Harris, Steven Surratt, Stanton Holland, Slayton Holland; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Fred Holland; two daughters, Robin Tobert, Denia Holland; granddaughter, Catherine Jennings; three sisters, Audra Archer, Opal Wiggins, Ruth Young and one brother, Sidney Charles Hall.

Services were at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Linden with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating.
Burial followed in the Centerhill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
