John “Johnny” Ballard Jr.

John “Johnny” Ballard Jr. age 74, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 5, 2024 in a Tyler, Texas hospital. John was born November 15, 1949, in Jackson, Mississippi, to John Sr. and Joan Ballard. He was a retired member of Steamfitters and Pipe Fitters Union 100, Dallas, Texas; and a member of McLeod Tabernacle. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a wonderful wildlife artist.

John was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Ballard Sr.; sister, Joy Huff and by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Ballard of Atlanta, Texas; brothers, Kenny Ballard and Roy Ballard and wife Juneann both of Clinton, Mississippi; sisters-inlove, Rhonda, Darla and Tammy; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2024, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Justin Terry and Bro. Sam Wisdom officiating.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service.
