Keith Shelton

Keith Douglas Shelton, age 69, of Bivins, Texas, transitioned to his new life with no pain with Jesus Christ, Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family.

Keith was born December 28, 1951, in Linden, Texas to Marvin and Hazel Shelton. He was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation; a member of Center Hill Baptist Church; and the Atlanta Bass Club. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, camping and cooking, his family especially loved his cheesecake and his chili. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Shelton; Hazel Jaynes and step-father, Ollie Jaynes.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Shelton of Bivins, Texas; three daughters, Tana Shelton of Atlanta, Texas, Sussie White and husband Bum of Atlanta, Texas, Sheila Stewart and husband Terry of Atlanta, Texas; son, Bobby Dupree and wife Heidi of Bivins, Texas; two brothers, James Yancey of Hondo, Texas, Gary Shelton and wife Joyce of Linden, Texas; eight grandchildren, Nick Stewart, Rob Hicks, Josh Dupree, Bailey Fleming, Colton Stewart, Logan Dupree, Ty White, Garon Dupree; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Huggins, Ava Dupree; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Center Hill Cemetery.
