Vickie Lynn Ray
Vickie Lynn Ray, age 72, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 13, 2019 in a Texarkana, Texas adult care facility.
Vickie was born November 12, 1946 in Atlanta, Texas to Douglas and O’Neal Gunn. She was employed as City Secretary of Queen City; and a member of First Baptist Church, Bloomburg. She enjoyed spending time bowling and loved needlework especially crocheting. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Ray Porterfield and Steve Ray; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Lory Burley and husband Joe of Springhill, Louisiana; three sisters, Barbara Anita Gunn Smith of Queen City, Texas, Sharon Gunn Jones of Austin, Texas, Peggy Gunn Milligan of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Charles Ray Palmer, Cody Lynn Palmer, Corinne Rene Ray; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 19, 2019, at First Baptist Church, Bloomburg, Texas, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. George Thomas and Bro. Ronnie Raines Officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service.
Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
