Because of the COVID-19 outbreak the UIL is restricting all seating capacity at home and away games to 50 percent. This is going to greatly reduce the number of tickets that can be sold and the number of fans that can attend 2020 football games.
*Sports Editor’s Note: The Covid-19 crisis has dramatically changed the landscape of sports from little league to the pros. Athletes from this area along with many others are being affected and only time will tell when normalcy in play, recruiting and completed seasons will take place. Some colleges are pushing fall sports to spring and others are canceling fall sports completely causing some athletes to transfer to other schools so they can compete as soon as possible. Although many continue the course, nothing is guaranteed. As you are about to read Southern Arkansas University (SAU) as specified by the Great American Conference (GAC) will suspend all sports competition through the end of the year.
For a few different reasons, both seen and unseen, we are suspending the Pigskin Picks Football Contest for this year.
