L-K Top Ten graduates named at 38th Annual Awards Program

Linden-Kildare CISD is pleased to announce the Top Ten Graduates of the Class of 2022 from left: Valedictorian - Camdyn McNutt, Salutatorian - Jonathan Owen, third - Jocelyn Serrano, fourth - Hayley Mason, fifth - Piper Stanton, sixth - Sydney Hampton, seventh - Jackson Lee, eighth - Madison Ebarb, ninth - Allie Smallwood and 10th - Jasmine McCuen. It goes without saying that L-K’s Top Ten Seniors have earned this designation as a result of their hard work, academic excellence and leadership skills in and out of the classroom. DECA students compete in Georgia

DECA students compete in Georgia

More than 17,000 DECA members across the globe demonstrated their college and career knowledge and skills by participating at DECA’s Competitive Events Program this week in Atlanta, Georgia. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the world. Gail Dorgan, advisor, and Siglinda Smoak, chaperone, were honored to escort Dylan Stanley, Austin Williams, Nicholas Lane and Logan Grandmaison on this educational adventure. These four young men represented L-K, District 6, and Texas DECA at the ICDC competition in Atlanta, Georgia. Between ICDC competition times L-K DECA was also able to experience some science and history education as they visited the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Zoo, the World of Coca-Cola and the College Football Hall of Fame museum. Thirteen Queen City High School

Thirteen Queen City High School senior welders traveled to Jefferson High School on Apr. 28, and received their AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certifications. These students have practiced for months in preparation and it all paid off. AHS Art Sales

Atlanta High School’s Art Club is hosting a Spring Student Art Show and Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily beginning on Monday, May 9 and going on until Thursday, May 12. The artwork will be displayed in the auditorium foyer.
