Those who hope for a deal on school supplies, gym shoes or new school clothes for the kids need look no further, as Texas Tax holiday weekend is set for Aug. 9-11. The holiday will begin Friday, Aug. 9 and last throughout the weekend, according to Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.
