Local crew sees BIG
Many curious observers watched as a crew that looked like ants from passerby-ers assembled the new Atlanta water tower. What most people don’t know is that first, those crawling around hundreds of feet in the area are from right here in Cass County. And second, this same crew has a heritage of building the old water tower only yards away from the new one. And lastly, they are responsible for big projects including building the largest water tower in the world.
Knox named the new Atlanta Director of Tourism
The City of Atlanta has created a new role to draw tourists and promote the City of Atlanta. Late 2023 Kelsey Knox was named the new Tourism Director of Atlanta, Texas. In order to get to know a little bit about Kelsey the Journal-Sun asked some questions we felt the community might want to ask to get to know the new director of tourism.
MLK Celebration set for Saturday
The Linden Heritage Foundation will present Mason D. Barrett as featured speaker for its 2024 Martin Luther King celebration 2 p.m. Saturday. in the courtroom of the historic Cass County Courthouse in Linden.
