Black Seminoles

Black Seminoles were a group of free blacks and runaway slaves (maroons) that joined forces with the Seminole Indians in Florida from approximately 1700 through the 1850s. The Black Seminoles were celebrated for their bravery and tenacity during the three Seminole Wars.

The Afternoon Tea special event is underway at CaffeCrema in downtown Atlanta Feb. 13.The first time gathering was special recognition for Valentine’s Day and was called “Galentine’s Tea.”The audio-visual team from Atlanta High School is doing publicity for the event.The videographers are Keele Youngblood and Makenzie Lampshire.
