PRESERVE NORTHEAST TEXAS

PRESERVE NORTHEAST TEXAS

Save the date! On Tuesday, March 29th from 6:30-8:00 PM, we will gather with friends and neighbors in Northeast Texas for a free STOP MARVIN NICHOLS Town Hall to discuss the proposed reservoir and how it will impact our community. The reservoir would be devastating for the economy, the environment, and the people of this region. While the Reservoir has been under discussion for decades, residents have been able to successfully push back against the largest planned land-grab in recent Texas history. Until now. Meet us at the Silvermoon on Broad in downtown Texarkana to learn more about this water project in the state water plan and how you can help Stop Marvin Nichols. Please RSVP via our Eventbrite page to join us for this FREE event!

Principal of the day

Brint Gilbert was Principal of the Day at APS and did an outstanding job! Brint won the hearts of the staff when she brought cookies to the workroom first thing this morning and ended the day with a candy bar and coke. She did the morning announcements, gave out behavior tokens, extra recess, observed in every classroom and did car duty for both morning and afternoon!!!! As the day ended Brint said...”Being a principal is tiring but I loved it! This was the best day ever” Principal of the Day is an experience offered by the Atlanta Education Foundation as part of their annual fund raising drive!!!
