CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital - Atlanta has reaffirmed their commitment to the health of the Northeast Texas communities they serve with the renewal of their 10-year agreement with the Atlanta Hospital Authority to operate the hospital and facilities through December 2032.
On January 27, several people in the area noticed a water main break that left some in the community without water. The problem was fixed by that morning, however, it left downtown street East Hiram partially closed during the repairs.
Jill Crocker has been voted to be the new president of the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce. In October, then chamber president, Miranda Johnson, announced that she would be stepping down from the chamber in order to give her full attention to her duties as the Atlanta City Development Executive Director.
Pat Fallon was recently one of about four dozen people on Capitol Hill who could be be in violation of the “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge” also known as the STOCK act. This prohibits members and employees of Congress from using “any nonpublic information derived from the individual’s position ... or gained from performance of the individual’s duties, for personal benefit.” Fallon is the U.S. representative for Texas’s 4th congressional district which until this coming election represents Cass County. After the election, Fallon will no longer represent Cass County because of redistricting.
