Area schools and colleges were canceled Friday, February 4 on Thursday in anticipation of inclement weather. Weather forecasters expected the possibility of icy streets and freezing temperatures. The Atlanta Debate Team went to Elysian Fields Saturday, January 22 with Cademon Larson and Ivy Alfaro winning two out of three rounds and finishing 7th overall in CX debate and Jon Kennedy winning two out three rounds and finishing 9th overall in LD debate. Ivy, Cademon, Jon, and Dasia Jeffley competed in Informative Extemporaneous Speaking with Ivy bringing home the 6th place medal. Congratulations to these fine students on their accomplishments.
