Changes in sherriff’s department
There have been a number of changes over the last couple of weeks at the Cass County Sheriff ’s Office. Two new deputies were hired, two people have retired and one has been promoted.

Freeze closes area schools
Area schools and colleges were canceled Friday, February 4 on Thursday in anticipation of inclement weather. Weather forecasters expected the possibility of icy streets and freezing temperatures. Cass County experienced rain most of the day on Thursday afternoon, leaving the possibility of icy streets Friday.
