Our Small Business Workshop was extremely well attended last week! While we did fall a little short of my personal goal of 40 attendees, we still had a group of 37 awesome small business owners come out and hear what Tim Wilson of the Small Business Development Center [SBDC] had to say on business models, plans, and strategies.

Due to the sensitive nature of individual prayer requests I decided to offer specific things that we can pray for this week that is a bit more general.
My favorite barista (youngest son Jack) fell off his motorcycle (hit a huge pothole) a couple of years ago on Interstate 35. Then about a year ago a pickup truck ran a red light and hit him on the motorcycle he bought after the first motorcycle was totaled. Three or four surgeries later, several metal plates, bolts and screws, Jack is back!
For those who work as an EMT, firefighter, or are in law enforcement, every shift has the potential to be life-changing. Accidents can and do occur, and there is always the threat of being harmed by someone who bears them ill will. When the unthinkable happens, time can literally mean the difference between life and death.
