Early Thursday morning on Mar. 31, the Linden-Kildare golf program teed off in the District 16-2A tournament. Both teams competed very well and walked away as district champions. Not only did both teams win a district championship, L-K also had the girls’ and boys’ individual district champion.
Cedric Davis had one great year on the powerlifting stage.
Atlanta High School lifters Avery Whitlow and Jaden Wells competed at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association’s State Meet On Mar. 26, in Abilene. Whitlow placed sixth overall in his weight class after squatting 365 pounds, benching 190 and deadlifting 405 pounds for a total of 960 pounds.
