CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital - Atlanta and Genesis PrimeCare Ellington Memorial Clinic will present “Cruise through Christmas,” a community holiday celebration, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7, at the hospital located at 1007 South William Street.
What if our annual holiday tradition was hitting the sales of Small Business Saturday? Each year, I ask local merchants what they plan to offer for Small Business Saturday, and although many of them do offer great deals, very few of them expect a big boom of business.
The coronavirus pandemic has laid much of the American economy on its back — but a bright spot made the disaster less crippling than it might have been. That is the Paycheck Protection Program, which funneled money to workers through small businesses.
I am sorry to announce the library will be closed until Dec 7th due to an abundance of concern for the safety of our patrons and staff. Amity Study Club is collecting dark-colored socks for the homeless until Dec. 7. and actively keeping an awareness of the needs of people during the coming winter months.
