Atlanta’s Cole Hanner, age 10, shot his first buck, a 9-point, on Nov. 7, which was opening day for deer season. His dad, Mike Hanner, was with him and said Cole took the shot from about 100 yards away. Cole was left with a bruise and bump to his forehead made by the scope from the kickback but said it was well worth it.
Dwight D. Eisenhower was a man who rose to great heights, but he was always a man of modesty. Like so many figures who excelled in America, his rise was to prominence was far from certain, but a background of faith, hard work, and education pushed the odds in his favor. Though his time in Texas was short, his impact on the world was profound.

At their last city council meeting, the Linden City Council voted to approve the resolution to undertake the agreement after it’s second public reading (it’s first having taken place at the October city council meeting).
