The Cass County Judge and Commissioners recently awarded funding to the Atlanta Public Library under its Cass County Literacy Grant program. The Atlanta Public Library was awarded $2,000 total to go toward literacy programs benefitting county residents.

Queen City FFA Livestock Show Exhibitors showed up and showed out at the 2022 Cass County Livestock Show recently. QC had 17 out of 28 kids make the sale.
Located in the southwestern corner of Cass County, at the intersection of State Highways 49 and 155, the town of Avinger was established in 1876. Hickory Hill, a settlement that began in the early 1840s, was located a mile south of the site of Avinger.
