Mark Epperson Chapter U.S. Daughters of 1812 member Linda Henderson, along with grandson Jeremiah Henderson, presented the program at the October chapter meeting. The PowerPoint was the story of the Flag of 1812. Incorporated into the PowerPoint was a very informative YouTube video about conservation/restoration work on the original Flag of 1812 which flew over Ft.McHenry in Baltimore Harbor. This Flag inspired Francis Scott Key to pen the lyrics to what later became our National Anthem. Linda had the privilege of touring the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, while the conservation work was in progress and when the restored Flag was hung in the Smithsonian.
