An innovator in the recycling, repurposing and disposal industry, ArkLaTex Tire Processing announces the opening of their facility in Linden, Texas. This strategic location allows customers to easily and legally dispose of tires at the end of their useful life. Arklatex Tire Processing, LP (ATP) has combined management and operations experience of over 75 years Additionally, they have over ten years of service with the East Texas Council of Governments, Solid Waste Advisory Committee (ETCOG) as well as over ten years of hands-on ownership experience in the recycling, repurposing and disposal industry.

Moran announces campaign for District 1

As the result of redistricting Cass County will now be represented by the First Congressional District of Texas after the next congressional election. Congressman Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, who previously represented the district before Cass Counties’ inclusion, is giving up his seat to run for the Attorney General of Texas, currently held by Ken Paxton. With the position vacancy, Republican Smith County Judge Nathaniel Moran officially announced his campaign for the First Congressional District of Texas.

Crabb at First Baptist Church

On Sunday, Dec. 12, the First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas will be hosting a concert with world renown gospel artist Jason Crabb. The event is free and no tickets are necessary as this is a Christmas gift from FBC to the Cass County and surrounding areas.
