Several people came out for the Linden Block Party June 12. Various vendors were set up and numerous shops were open on the square. A live country band played on the courthouse steps.
Beginning June 1 through July 8, Atlanta ISD will be offering free summer meals to children up to 18 years old at Atlanta Middle School. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday with breakfast being served between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and lunch being served between 10:30 a.m. and noon.
Kendall Wells is the 2021 Valedictorian for Linden-Kildare High School with a weighted GPA of 103.6 and unweighted GPA of 4.0.
Focused Care at Linden announced today that the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency responsible for rating the quality of care provided by the nation’s skilled nursing facilities, awarded the long term care community a 5-star rating for Quality Measures – the category that focuses on direct resident care. Focused Care at Linden earned a 5-star for resident care in 2019 – during the last rating period.
County Judge Becky Wilbanks oversaw the June 8 regular session of the Cass County Commissioner’s Court at 8:30 a.m. in Linden. Commissioners Brett Fitts, Danny Joe Shaddix, Paul Cothren and Darrel Godwin were present for the meeting as well as County Clerk Amy Varnell and County Auditor Jim Loomis.
