Buzbee files suit against Brooks
Well-known Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, who also owns a home in Atlanta, has agreed to take the case of Blake Sampson, the two-year-old boy who was hospitalized in April of this year for life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 2:14 a.m. on November 18, a 2008 Chevrolet carrying 21-year-old Brenden Lomax of Atlanta, Texas hit a tree on Martin Luther King and Wood Street in Texarkana. According to the Texarkana, Texas Police Department, the case is under investigation awaiting an autopsy.
The fight against the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir has intensified as of late, with over a thousand people signing a petition against it. The group “Preserve Northeast Texas” is working with others in the community to make sure the proposed project is never started. The reservoir if approved would be built on the Sulphur River in Red River Franklin and Titus counties right outside of Bowie and Cass Counties. The desired goal would be to bring water supply for Dallas. Recently, PNT suggested other areas for the project that would not harm the logging industry and other businesses in the northeast Texas area.
Conservative businessman, veteran, and Atlanta Mayor Travis Ransom officially filed paperwork with the Cass County Republican Party for a place on the 2022 Republican Primary Ballot for Cass County Judge. Ransom announced his intent to run two months ago following Judge Becky Wilbanks public announcement that she would not be seeking reelection. Since that time Ransom has visited with numerous civic groups, business leaders, individual stakeholders, and other elected leaders about the future of rural Texas and Cass County specifically.
