DALLAS, TX – (September 24, 2024) – Steward Health affirmed today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas to CHRISTUS Health, an international, not-forprofit Catholic health system; this was approved by the court today.
Richard Todd Wade, the former senior pastor at Cornerstone Assembly of God in Atlanta, Texas, has been arrested for allegedly embezzling funds from the local Lions Club. At this time, it is unclear if he took funds from any other organization. It was reported to the Journal- Sun that he sent a letter to the club admitting the misappropriation of funds. It is unclear at this time if additional funds were taken from other organizations. The Journal-Sun is investigating and hopes to have a more detailed report in the coming weeks.
