Tommye and Billy were married July 3, 1952. They have a total of five children, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. On Sept. 24, Linden Lion’s Club held its regular meeting at noon in the County Seat Café. This week they gave out a very special award. The Heart of a Lion Award was given to Lion Bob Swisher. The award is given to those who embody the spirit of the club’s motto “We Serve.” Lion Swisher, who can be found on his days off rescuing animals, helping to distribute boxes of fresh produce and meat, or helping to organize community events.
