The intersection of Loop 236 North and US 59 in Queen City will close today for about two days as concrete pavement repair work is conducted at that location. Traffic is being detoured to the Loop 236 South intersection with US 59. The intersection is expected to reopen on Wednesday, but weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances can delay the work.
As of Monday, Nov. 9, Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports 43 new cases since Friday, Nov. 6, for a total of 2,268 positive COVID-19 cases, with 87 deaths. The Department of State Health Services is reporting 1,575 recoveries. There are currently 606 active cases in Bowie County.
